Went down to the lakeshore and took some photos today, and then what do you know, I happened to them.
Really now. It's early february, and the lake was just FULL of geese. If migration patterns are any indication, the world is doomed.

I just read your blog while browsing through for bird-related topics and I have to say that the goose migration issue is worrisome. The change in climate that our world is going through definitely plays into why these birds have stopped migrating or have begun to congregate in new places. Still, human interaction with the geese themselves play an even bigger part. Because so many people enjoy feeding geese at these ponds and at parks, the geese don't need to leave to find food during the winter. They stay where the resources are.

I particularly like your piece with the guy in the river and the Ginko leaves. Very poetic.
