Relax!

I did this originally for an ad for co-op, but thought the image itself was kind of fun. So I made some edits, slapped on a nonsense saying, and here you have it! Summer.

Downpour

I've been feeling really edgy and trapped lately; there's no feeling I hate more than that of stagnation.

Out here they call it "Victory"

I've been doing co-op with Paperbagrecords, an indie label in Toronto, and it has thusfar been an absolute blast. I've always been interested in the Canadian indie music scene, so this way I get the best of both worlds, art AND music! In addition to the work being fun, the people I work for are ridiculously awesome, which just makes the whole experience even better.

I made a poster today; they ended up going with a vertical layout for postering reasons, but I thought I'd post my favourite version.

Tegan and Sara?!

All joking aside, here's a new Sunday painting:

This calls for a 'shit, son'

EDIT: I did some pretty major changes to things that irked me about the painting; if you want to see the original, click here.

Delusions of Grandeur

I'm continuing on an unofficial personal project to make Oakville somehow appear a lot more attractive than it really is.

I'm thinking the Town of Oakville should hire me for PR.

The view from our balcony; in no way representative of what the view from our balcony looks like in reality.

Nerrrrrrd glee

Painted straight in Photoshop CS3

This is for the ongoing art-on-sunday challenge with Ian. I decided to forgo BBC and editorial illustration, because I'd been watching the special features disks on the lord of the rings extended editions which totally rekindled my love for background painting.

If you like cool things, check the DVDs out. Ignore the crowd pointing and laughing at your apparent nerdish tendencies because ohhhhhh man. MINIATURES.
