It Hungers....For More!!!

Still on this drawing-buildings kick. I'm kind of flirting with the idea of taking an continuing education course in architectural drawing or Film/Stage set drafting.

*colours tweaked in Photoshop

Playing games and watching animation growing up, I was always more interested in the backgrounds and world design than I was the action or characters. The subject of the Myst series came up recently and I'd forgotten how all over that I was. Running around cool places without having to battle pointless monsters every 4 steps? Yeah, I can get behind that.

Sketchbook Excerpts

Some selected results are below:

Lifedrawing Pt.2

Slowly but surely shaking out the dust... (10 or 15 min. poses)

I've noticed that some people take their lifedrawing waaaayyyyy too seriously. What is it about art and over-analysis? Sometimes it's okay to just enjoy. Yeesh.

Lifedrawing

Yeeeeeesh. I dropped into an open lifedrawing sessions at the TSA today.

It's been almost a year since I've drawn from life - while it wasn't as disastrous as it could have been, there's definitely a good layer of rust on me. Below is the best of the batch, a couple of 10 minute poses. Feels good to go back to the basics...almost makes me want to set up a still life.
